Sounds Installation (2014)

Talk Love… Act Peace…

In celebration with global peace day & in Support of Peace One Day. Showcasing diverse art from around the world to found children in Gaza in collaboration with Gassan Kanafani Foundation, and to fund Kuwait’s Child’s Rights Society.

This artwork aims to investigate sound effects as they are experienced by a participating audience. Our hypothesis is that the harmonies produced by sounds can break down the communication barriers between people. The investigation aims for the audience to be engaged in an aural experience which allows them to interpret what they are hearing and relate this to their own daily lives.

The harmonies of sounds break down the communication barriers between people
Engage the audience not with images, but sounds which will stimulate their own interpretations of what they are experiencing
It is not necessary to understand the language in order to enjoy, experience emotions or appreciate the transcendent nature of the sounds
We would like to create contrasting sounds which reflect the realities of our lives. Where Antonio will be narrating Amani’s story in his mother language (Portuguese) and Amani will be narrating his story in Arabic.
